In The Community
Howsons are proud member of the local and wider community. Here's how we engage in the community:
- Members of the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce
- Various not-for-profit organisations
- Active involvement in the staffs., Salop & Wolverhampton Society of Chartered Accountants (including James Eyre-Walker having been on its Board for 21 years, president 3 times(2000/01, 2014/15 and 2015/16), chaired it's Courses and Conference Committee for 10+ years and remains on its Practice Administration Committee)
- Operate a Pro Bono Fund to provide free chargeable time to charities, not for profit organisations and hardship cases.
Individual staff members are also active in the community:
- James Eyre-Walker is a member of the Technical Advisory Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales
- Cath Fettes is a Guide Leader, Chair of Finance for Staffordshire Guides and Treasurer of the Baddeley Green & Stockton Brook Community Association
- Vicky Hulse is a volunteer with Tax Help for Older People and member of the Association of Taxation Technicians' Exam Steering Group Committee
- James Parr is Treasurer for Berkswich Football Club Under 15s
